Cut into the hill side, the roof
line of this Modern House projects to cover a second story deck and a slate patio over the carport.
Stained with Floric Polytech concrete stain, the floors glow with an amber hue. Vaulted pine ceilings carry out to the covered second sto
ry deck. Large Anderson double sliding doors open the outside to the living room. Hot water from a Rinnai tank-less natural gas heater runs though tubing embedded in the concrete on both floors. Each room has a thermostat and separate heat control. The steep lot required a large retaining wall foundation which added tremendously to the cost.
